My son broke his leg and will be in the 5th week of 6 weeks on crutches and a cast when our vacation is planned. Is it still worth coming, or should we cancel? I am not sure how many rides he will be able to ride. Any suggestions?

I am sure your son has been looking forward to this big Disney vacation for quite some time.  I would hate to see you cancel it.  Disney is quite aware of all kinds of disabilities their guests might have and will do all they can to still make everyone's vacation as magical as possible!

I suggest you rent a wheelchair or stroller...you did not mention the age of the child so that would make a difference as to which one you rent.  Although he can get around with the crutches the parks are large and cover a lot of area and a wheel chair will preserve the energy and strength of your son.

When you enter a park stop at Guest Services.  They will go over the ride restrictions for the different attractions in the park and will also explain the procedures for wheel chairs etc. for each one.  Most rides are accessible with wheel chairs or guests with crutches so there should be very few attractions he possibly would miss out on.  Click HERE to read more about how Disney helps those guests who have special needs.
