Hi, my son is Autistic and struggles with behavior and patience. My concern is standing in line for over long periods of time without him acting out. Do I have options ?

Hi there, Tarsys! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

You'll be glad to know that the Disneyland Resort is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all Guests. There are a few different options to help ensure a pleasurable experience while visiting the parks. First, take a look at the Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities page. This is a great resource to help prepare for your trip.

Plan on arriving at the parks as early in the day as possible. Crowds are typically lighter in the morning and if you have any early admission options available to you, make sure to take full advantage of that extra hour. You will find that you can ride several attractions with minimal waits in the morning hours. Then, use FASTPASS throughout the day to skip the lines at some of the bigger attractions. Also, use the Disneyland app to look up attraction wait times and FASTPASS return times so you can plan where to go next during the day.

Finally, if you have additional concerns, stop by Guest Services either at City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park to discuss your needs. Cast Members are specifically trained to provide assistance to Guests needing special accommodations and might even provide Disability Access Service if deemed appropriate.

I hope this helps! I am confident that you and your family will have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort!
