My son has autism. Where is the best place to see the Wishes fireworks...not miss Tink..but have a lower noise level?

    Hi GInger!

Wishes is a spectacular way to end a perfect Disney day, and there are many wonderful places to get a great view.  If your heart is set on seeing "Tink" descend from the castle, you should be in an area where her "wire" is visible.  When you walk down Main Street and Tomorrowland is on your right, look up, and you will see a wire coming down from the Castle that leads behind the buildings on Main Street.  If you can see the wire, you'll have a view of Tinkerbell and a great view of Wishes.  This "prime viewing" includes all of the areas around the Castle "hub" and Main Street.  However, that these are also the most popular (and consequently most crowded) places to watch.

As you can imagine, the fireworks can be loud, and for kids with sensory issues, a bit overwhelming.  If your son is sensitive to loud noises, I would consider these alternatives.  The first is way at the back end of Main Street looking at the Castle (closest to the park entrance)  While it will still be loud, it's a bit less intense that directly in front of the Castle, and in the event that your son becomes upset, you are right at the exit and get make a quick "escape".  You will probably be able to see Tink, even if she's tiny.  Another great option that a lot of families who have a child on the spectrum recommend is viewing Wishes from one of the resort beaches on the Seven Seas Lagoon.  Our favorite is the beach at the Polynesian.  The fireworks are still spectacular, the crowds are much smaller, and you won't have a max exodus of people when they end.  Finally, Wishes can be seen from the restaurants Narcoosees and California Grille.  The music is piped in, and again, it's a much more "low key" way to enjoy the show.

Tinkerbell is fabulous, of course, but honestly, she's a tiny part of the magnificent spectacle that is Wishes!  I'd go with your "mommy instincts" on picking a spot that will work the best for your special pirate-in-training!
