    Michelle from CA Asked

My son ADHD. I was told that with an active IEP he is eligible for park perks. Is this true?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle!

You’ll be glad to know that the Disneyland Resort is extremely accommodating to Guests with special needs. It is of the utmost importance that all Guests have the opportunity to experience the joy and wonder of the parks. There are lots of Guest Services available that might make your trip run a little more smoothly. These include the Disney FASTPASS Service to help you skip some of the longer queues on select attractions, guides and maps to plan your visit, and other accommodations such as Disability Access Service.

For those that cannot tolerate waiting in traditional queues, Disability Access Service provides a virtual wait by assigning a return time to ride an attraction. While you wait for the return time, you can enjoy other areas of the park or perhaps grab a snack. You won’t need to provide any proof, like your son’s IEP, but you will need to stop by a Guest Relations location, like City Hall at Disneyland Park, to discuss your needs with a Cast Member. They will explain available accommodations and provide instructions on how to use certain services.

I hope this information was helpful. Have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
