    Victoria from NY Asked

My son is an active Marine and we are trying to plan a disney vacation which he will be joining us while we are there due to his available time are there discounts that are available to us or just to him?

Hi Victoria! I will be happy to answer your question. Active and retired U.S. military personnel, including the National Guard, Reservists, and the U.S. Coast Guard, are entitled to participate in Disney's Armed Forces Salute Promotion. This promotion may allow a savings of up to 40% off resort rates when booking a stay at any Disney Resort prior to September 28th, 2011. The Armed Forces Salute promotion is valid for most nights between now and October 1, 2011. However, is it not available from April 17, 2011 through April 30, 2011. There is a limited number of rooms available for this offer so I would recommend making your resort reservation as soon as possible. You may secure your resort reservation by calling (407) 939-7830, or contacting any participating MWR/ITT offices. In addition, active and retired military personnel may purchase up to six 4-Day Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets for themselves, dependents, and other guests. As an exception, additional tickets may be obtained if the service member has more than five dependents. Please be advised that a Military ID Card must be presented at the time of purchase. To read more about this promotion and other discounts available to U.S. military personnel, visit this page. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Have a memorable vacation to the Walt Disney!
