    Denise from CA Asked

Can someone tell me a good restaurant in Disneyland that will help make a bachelorette celebration a special time? I’ve been to a birthday celebration at the plaza inn before; reserved table & special cake, but I would like characters involved too.

    Hi Denise!

There's always something to celebrate at Disneyland Resort: birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, new jobs, un-birthdays, tuesdays, etc. I'm excited that you're wanting to plan a 'Happily Ever After' here too!

Regular Character Meal options are really fun on their own, and I see nothing wrong with getting a big table and celebrating with your gal pals. The last time I visited 'Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet' at Storytellers Cafe, a large group was having a baby shower brunch; and really funny, Chip 'n' Dale got in to the box of party favors and tried to make off with some goodies! You can reserve one of these experiences online or by calling (714) 781-Dine (3463).  Pro Tip: Of the locations at a Disney Resort Hotel, aim to book around an hour before the restaurant's last breakfast/brunch reservation. They'll keep new food coming as long as guests are still present, and these locations tend to clear out later in their service, so they'll be a bit quieter. All three contain a variety of breakfast and lunch items so you'll have a brunch vibe no matter which you select. And lastly, the Characters stick around for a good 45 minutes after the last reservation has been sat. So with all of this combined, usually during this time the characters will make their way to your table multiple times vs. just once at a more prime breakfast time.

Instead of having a Disney friend come to your party, what if your group dined and then went to them by booking a Dining Event? Your group could have a meal and later a reserved area for Fantasmic!, Frozen, even the World of Color Dessert Party! Another direction would be to book a large table at Lamplight Lounge for the last dinner seating where you'd have a built-in seat for World of Color.

What about a Dining Location with a cool patio or space, like Blue Bayou Restaurant, Cafe Orleans, the back patio at Napa Rose, River Belle Terrace or upstairs at Wine Country Trattoria? I would even call the dining reservation number to try to get a guaranteed patio table at Carnation Cafe at 3:30 or 6:00 P.M. where you'll have a good view of the brand new 'Magic Happens' parade.

Do remember that anything that happens inside a theme park does require that each guest have a valid admission ticket. So, with that in mind, and going in a completely different direction, what about getting a few Club Level rooms or a big suite at a Disney Resort Hotel? The Club Lounges at both the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa have views of Disneyland's fireworks with included adult drinks and desserts, as well as breakfast and evening appetizers. You could even turn the night into a slumber party!

Lastly, contact the Disney Meetings & Events Team. I've been fortunate enough to experience their magic numerous times and seriously, everything from customized plated menus with multiple characters to just dessert and cocktails; at a hotel, or in the parks, or even a super secret hidden location. For a few as two to as many as two thousand. If you can dream it they can do it. Their phone number is (714) 520-7025.

I hope this gave you a lot of ideas, Denise, and that your groups has a great time!
