Hi!! Can someone please explain to me how the Deluxe Plus Dining plan works in plain language?? I am so confused if I am over booking my 4night 5 day stay with dinner reservations that the plan wont cover!!!

    Hi Kimberly,

I don't know if I can add any clarity, but I'll try.  With the Deluxe Dining Plan you'll receive 3 meals and 2 snacks per person, per night of your stay.  Since you're staying 4 nights, you'll have 12 meals and 8 snacks available for each person in your party.

It doesn't matter if you dine at a table service restaurant or counter service eatery.  The choice is yours!  Either type of restaurant uses 1 credit.

Now, if you dine at Cinderella's Royal Table, a signature dining location, or a dinner show such as Hoop de Doo, you'll use 2 dining credits.

For our family, eating 3 table service meals per day takes up a lot of park time.  If we were using the plan, we would probably do a character meal in the morning.  These are usually buffet or family style meals.  You can really fill up here.  Then we would get a snack (or 2) in the afternoon and enjoy dinner at a signature restaurant.

You don't have to use up 3 meals and 2 snacks each day.  You can use them in any combination you wish.  The easiest way to figure out if you have enough credits is to list the restaurants where you've made reservations write the number of credits needed.  Then tally them up.  If the number is less than 12, you're good to go.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
