Can someone explain decorating the stateroom doors on a Disney Cruise?

    Hi Brandy!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you and your pirate crew are getting ready to sail the high seas with Captain Mickey! As you're walking through the corridors onboard, you'll notice how many Guests enjoy personalizing their home away from home by decorating their stateroom doors! It's a perfect way to not only personalize your stateroom door, but also celebrate your Disney Cruise!

Brandy, if you're interested in decorating your door, I recommend making decorations at home and bringing them along with you on your voyage! Guests are allowed to use magnets on the stateroom doors, but no adhesive materials like tape or glue. I like to print festive decorations on card stock paper at home, laminate them and adhere magnets to the back of the laminated paper. You'll see Mickey ears, custom magnets as well as families' favorite Disney Characters all magnetically on display. During our most recent voyage aboard the Disney Dream, we saw stateroom door decorations for sale in the shops onboard, too!

I do want to also mention that the stateroom doors on all four vessels are magnetic with the exception of the Concierge-level stateroom doors aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. The Concierge-level doors on those ships are wooden and therefore not magnetic. I'm so excited thinking about how you're planning on decorating your stateroom door for your upcoming Disney Cruise! I'm sure it will be "practically perfect in every way"!
