    Hi Janice,

My own daughter is 10 years old, and we have visited Walt Disney World with her every year of her life. I do not think that there is a wrong age to take children to Walt Disney World. There are amazing experiences for all ages of children at Walt Disney World. Let me share with you a bit about what we did at each age level with our daughter, and hopefully this will help you in your decision-making.

When she was younger, in the 5- to 7-year-old range, our daughter was more likely to want to meet characters. She had autograph books and enjoyed interacting directly with the characters. She was also more likely to ask to repeatedly experience attractions such as it's a small world and Peter Pan's Flight. Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom is often very enjoyed by the youngest children. We also had a blast at activities such as Disney Junior Play 'n Dine at Hollywood & Vine, where she was able to sing and dance with her favorite starts from Disney Junior. I am so glad that we have the memories of her as a young child at Walt Disney World.

Now that she is older, in the past couple of years our daughter has not been as interested in meeting characters face-to-face, but she does still very much enjoy entertainment with characters, including parades and shows. As she has gotten older, we have been able to do more activities with her such as staying out late to see nighttime spectaculars night after night. She also really enjoys being old enough to take part in experiences such as the Wild Africa Trek, which accommodates guests as young as eight years old.

In the end, I really do think that there is an abundance of fun for all ages at Walt Disney World. You cannot make a wrong decision here!
