I am slightly handicap (bad knee, no wheelchair) and need a room close to the buses/pool/food areas at CBR. What's the best way to communicate this to the resort? I booked through Priceline & they said they can't make a request for me

Hi, Amber!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I think you are really going to enjoy vacationing at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  The atmosphere of this Walt Disney World Resort Hotel really feels like you're visiting a relaxing, island paradise.

If you would like to make a request as to your room location, you can call the Resort Reservations Line to speak to a Cast Member.  Please be aware that at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, rooms in the buildings closest to the main pool and Centertown area are considered "Preferred Rooms" and are a separate room category.  I am not sure if this is the type of room you have reserved, but if you call to speak with a Cast Member, they can help you determine this.  While Cast Members cannot make any guarantees regarding room requests, they will certainly do their best to address your needs.

A Walt Disney World Vacation involves a lot of walking.  If you think that this might cause you any discomfort, I would recommend looking into renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), also known as a scooter.  I have several members of my extended family who use an ECV when they visit Walt Disney World, and it is a lifesaver for them.  The Walt Disney World website has information on ECV rentals.  ECVs are available on a first-come, first-served basis at all of the Walt Disney World theme parks, or if you prefer to have an ECV also available to you at your resort hotel, you can rent from one of the Disney Featured Providers listed on the website.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.  See ya real soon!
