Hello! 45 more sleeps :) My petite 4 yro has had to sit out on Soarin many times. We are all hoping this is the year! She is 40" with her "Jessie" boots on... will the cast members question/refuse her on the ride because of the boots? Thanks

    Howdy Lisa!

Your trip is just around the corner and I know you are getting more excited by the minute. Pretty soon you'll be too excited to sleep.

It always hurts my heart to see a child who really wants to do an attraction with a height requirement and be turned away because they are just not quite tall enough. It is especially hard when they miss the mark by a hair. But I try to keep in mind that height requirements are set in place for safety purposes and safety is the number one priority at Disney.

I have found that Cast Members are pretty strict about the height requirements. I wouldn't want to risk being turned away and having your daughter being very disappointed. I have even seen children have meltdowns for being turned away. If you think your daughter can handle the potential disappointment, you can try but explain to her she may not get in.

In the event you decide not to try or try and can't get her on, I would plan something special for her while others are riding Soarin'. Maybe you could visit a character, share an ice cream or spend some time in Innoventions West. My boys love The Great Piggy Bank Adventure and Where's The Fire? I always like to have a backup and make my boys feel special.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
