What are the size requirements for flight of avatar?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kimberly!

Thank you for sending us your awesome question about Avatar Flight of Passage located in Pandora — The World of Avatar.

Avatar Flight of Passage is one of the newest attractions available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Avatar Flight of Passage allows explorers to climb atop a banshee for a truly magnificent flight over the moon’s landscape. It is unlike any other ride or attraction at Walt Disney World Resort, and the first time I experienced it I was exhilarated and moved to the point of tears. It a visually stunning and in my opinion, the best ride in all of Walt Disney World Resort.

Bonding with a mountain banshee is an absolute honor, and flying on the back of a banshee is an important rite of passage for all Na’vi hunters. In order to bond with one yourself, you must be at least 44 inches (3’ 8’’) or taller. Any Na’vi hunter wishing to ride a banshee will need to meet these height requirements.

Kimberly, I hope I have answered your question and that you find Pandora — The World of Avatar to be as stunning, magical and unforgettable as I did. If you have any additional questions while planning your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please visit us again.

    Wishing you a Beautiful Journey,
