Is there a site that has all the little things at the hotels and places offer? Torch lighting at the Polynesian, Parasol Parade at Contemporary, etc. I'd like to see the little things with my little things!

  • Greetings, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Brian, we're so glad you're here!

Walt Disney Imagineers go to great lengths to incorporate thematic details and unique events and activities in all that they do at the Disney Parks and Destinations. I love how everything, right down to the tiniest detail has significance; and in their efforts to afford Guests unique experiences, Walt Disney Imagineers bring authenticity and imagination to Disney Resort hotels immersing Guests into the story and settings.

While you can enjoy perusing through the informative descriptions of all Walt Disney World Resort hotels, I have to direct you to the delightful and entertaining Blog posts from our contributors at our official Disney Parks Blog. I enjoy reading Blog posts throughout the day, every day, with complete recapitulations on Sundays. A focus on 'good news', updates and information, historical posts and trivia keep me smiling all week long.

Follow Disney Parks Social Media Networks where enthusiastic and engaging Cast Members post daily Guest favorite photo details about anything related to the Disney Parks, Resort hotels and Destinations.

This way, you can see your favored 'little things' from the comfort of your home until your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Best Disney Wishes!

All of the extra touches one can experience during a Walt Disney World vacation makes the trip even more magical. Making these memories with the family are priceless.

There is not a site that describes the "little things" that often take place because many of these are not permanent and therefore cannot be planned. They might be there today but not tomorrow. You can definitely look through the Disney Resort Descriptions to see what is happening at each one. Most of the descriptions will be general but you can get some insight into what is offered.

I personally feel one of the best places to go is the Disney Parks Moms Panel for the latest on all the excitement happening at the resorts and in the parks. This group is constantly in Walt Disney World so they can tell you what is new and what is no longer offered as far as all those "little things" are concerned. They can tell you about the Princess Promenade at the Grand Floridian or the Family of the Day that raises the flag each morning at the Wilderness Lodge.

Never forget to stop by each resort and talk with the cast members. They are proud of where they work and are so excited to share the knowledge about it to the guests. They might point you in the direction of hidden mickey's that you never would have seen or share in the history of the construction and theme of the resort. For instance at the Wilderness Lodge you will find two large massive totem poles in the lobby. These took six months to carve and there is an actual story told from the bottom to the top. My advice is to take time and visit the resorts and ask lots of questions and you will have fun while learning so much.
