My sister's family is visiting WDW in Feb, staying at the Grand Floridian. I live in Orlando and plan to come babysit my nieces one night at the hotel so parents can go out. Will I need to pay to park at the hotel to babysit my nieces?

Hello Lisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

How nice of you to babysit for your nieces while their parents get a much-needed, Adults-Only night out.

As far as the Parking Fees for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel are concerned, the phrasing "Overnight Self-Parking" is key. Day Guests visiting most Resort Hotels during the day are free to experience all the dining, shopping and entertainment at a Resort Hotel with Complimentary Standard Self Parking.

If you are concerned that your babysitting will last late into the evening, I recommend that you get your Niece's parents to inform Guest Services at the Front Desk of your plans and include your name and license plate number for reference. This should assist security personnel at the Parking Gates with processing your entry. Guest Services will help to sort out the protocol for your visit.

My wife and I use the Independent Childcare Provider "Kids Nite Out" for our babysitting needs and the sitters are granted access to Resort Hotel parking for the purpose of their stay.

Perhaps you could even arrange Advanced Dining Reservations for 1900 Park Fare for you and your Nieces to dine with royalty while their parents are out and about?

    Have a Magical Visit!
