Will my sister (9 years old) be able to order from the adult menu if she doesn't like anything from the kid's menu? We will be using the QS plan and I am afraid of having to pay extra for her meals is she wants an order from the adult's menu.

    Hi, Mayren!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's great that you have an upcoming visit to Walt Disney World and you are getting the Quick Service Dining Plan! My family and I find dining plans to be such a convenient way to save on meals; there is no trip we ever take without it!

If you are only eating at Quick Service locations, it wouldn't be a problem if menus for both age groups are the same. If you were eating at a table service location, then that would be a problem since adult and kids' entitlements work differently. To put it in simple words, if a kids menu is available at a particular location, your sister will have to choose from that menu. Children ten and older are able to order from the adults' menu since they are technically considered adults for dining plan purposes.

Mayren, I hope this has been helpful. Cast Members are always super friendly and they will not have a problem guiding you through the menu and dining plan options available to you. Be sure to ask them any questions about your Dining Plan you may have.

    Happy Disney Dining,
    ~Desiree

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
