My sister will be traveling to Disney with her two kids, ages 3 and 8. She is a single mom and very nervous to do this by herself. Any tips? Advice? Disney childcare services she should know about?

Hi Jane! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your sister and her kiddos are about to make many special memories together! I completely understand where she is coming from. There is so much to see and do that it can feel very overwhelming, especially with two young kids. I’m happy to offer some tips for making it more manageable for her!

First, she needs to know that she doesn’t have to do it all! A slower pace will help maintain everyone’s energy and help her not to feel stressed out. Snacks are another great way to keep energy up and avoid a “hangry” meltdown. I always have a snack ready for my little ones for this very reason. I also recommend that she download the My Disney Experience mobile app. She can manage their plans from her phone this way, including Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering (to avoid long food lines) and FastPass+ selections.

Hopefully she is planning on bringing a stroller with her or renting one in the theme parks when she arrives. Having her youngest in the stroller will really help as she navigates her way through the theme parks. There is a babysitting service called Kid's Nite Out that offers in-park assistance. She can call them at (407) 828-0920 to find out all of the details, including rates, to see if this is something that would work for her.

I hope this helps! Please tell your sister to enjoy every moment of her upcoming vacation, Jane. Let us know if you have any other questions!
