Disney's Magical Express transportation

My sister and I are staying at Port Orleans. I’m going to run in the wine and dine half marathon, but my sister is not. So she plans on flying in a few days later. Can she still use the magical express, even if she doesn’t arrive the day I check in?

Hello Laura, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

Congratulations on unlocking the multi-tasking achievement of planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort and training for a runDisney half marathon at the same time. You will have a reason to celebrate all of your hard work when your sister arrives.

If your sister is listed on your reservation as a guest staying in your room, she will be able to take advantage of using Disney’s Magical Express® Transportation on the day she arrives at Orlando International Airport. I have taken trips in the past when my daughter could not fly in on the same day as me. Make sure you and your sister are connected to your “My Family and Friends List” in My Disney Experience. Once she has her flight information, either of you can make the reservation online or by calling Disney’s Magical Express at (407) 939-1936. Magical Express will send you all the travel information along with her luggage tags about 2-3 weeks before your scheduled arrival. When your information arrives, double check to confirm your separate arrival dates. You will still time to get her luggage tags and information to her. Just remember to remind her to pack her MagicBand in a carry-on bag because she will need it to unlock the door to your Resort Hotel room and to check in with the Cast Member at Disney’s Magical Express Welcome Center. You will have a great time celebrating your accomplishment. If you need any more help before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
