My sister needs to upgrade her Annual Pass to include weekends. She was told that she has to do that in the parks. Will she be able to make FastPass+ reservations before then, or will she have to wait until that day when she upgrades it? Thanks! °o

Hi, Neula, and thanks for bringing this question to us. I am assuming that your sister holds a Florida Resident Weekday Select Pass. I think she will enjoy having weekends added to her pass so she will not have to worry about those pesky blacked out weekends. It is also a great way to enjoy more Dole Whips during the year!

I just spoke with a Cast Member about upgrading to an Annual Pass and how to make weekend FastPass+ selections before your sister's pass is upgraded. She does indeed need to make the change at the parks. However, I learned that if you get into town early and do not want to wait until you get to your first park to make the pass change, you can visit Guest Relations in the Marketplace section of Downtown Disney. Doing this would give you extra time that evening to make your sister's FastPass+ selections because, as much as I hate to say it, the weekends are going to be blacked out for her when making those selections.

I have a tip that I can offer you while you plan your itinerary, knowing that your sister will have to be added later. Under normal parks scheduling, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and Epcot usually see lighter crowds on Saturday, while Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot usually see lighter crowds on Sunday. Unless you have already made Advanced Dining Reservations at another park, I would choose one of those parks to visit each weekend day, with the thought that your favorite FastPass+ attractions may be easier to grab for her once she upgrades her ticket. Say that you choose to go to Epcot on Saturday and make your family's selections when your FastPass+ window opens. You could then copy the plans to your sister's account on My Disney Experience. I think you would have a better chance of copying a FastPass+ at that park instead of a must-have like 7 Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park.

I hope you have a magical day, Neula, and please let me know if you have any further questions!
