My sister and I are currently planning a trip for my mom in 2012, it will be her 70th birthday. Our first hope is to go Spring break, which will be sometime in April. If our breaks don't match, it will be in August 2012. How bad is the weather in August?

    Hello Kristin,

I think a girls' trip to Disney World sounds fabulous! I think the three of you are in for a magical time!

I have traveled from Ohio to Disney in August in the past. And I won't lie, it was hot! Now, I believe they had some record temperatures while I was there. But the average temperature in August is in the 90's. The weather can be unpredictable too. I remember afternoon thunderstorms popping up randomly throughout our visit. So if you go at the end of summer, remember to bring ponchos and lots of sunscreen!

No matter when you choose, I hope you and your family have a wonderful time making memories that will last you a lifetime. Wishing you faith, love, and Pixie Dust for your trip!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
