Hi! So my sister and I are from Australia, and we are planning to go to Disney World next year. Is an Annual Pass or Free Dining Promotion better value/ which will save us more money?

Greetings Claudia, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!

As an international Guest myself traveling all the way from Brazil, I am also always on the look-out for ways to save money during our visits to “The Most Magical Place on Earth”. We need to make sure that the currency we exchange into “Mickey Dollars” goes a long way, right?

My first budgeting tip is to do exactly as you are planning and stay at a Disney Resort hotel. You will get to enjoy amazing benefits such as complimentary transportation to and from Orlando International Airport with Disney’s Magical Express, and complimentary transportation throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. This means you save money by not renting a car and avoiding parking fees at your Disney Resort hotel. In addition, you will make the most out of park admission tickets with access to Extra Magic Hours.

An Annual Pass may be a great option depending on the number of days you are planning on visiting the theme parks and if you intend to park hop, or if you are organizing more than one visit during the year. Annual Passes come with great perks including up to 20% off not only on select merchandise but also dining, so you can save on meals. If you are planning a shorter visit it may be better to take the free dining offer, especially if it comes with the Disney Dining Plan. Check prices and what your special offer would include, do your math, and I am sure you will decide on the best option for you and your sister.

I hope this helps you while planning. Please stop by once again real soon! We are delight to assist Guests plan a magical vacation.

    Best Disney wishes,
    Thiana
