I am a Single 33 year old Mom with a 7.5 year old son; and neither of us have been to Disney. I want to plan for a 4 day (Friday-Monday) Disney experience for the 2 of us at the beginning of October 2015; but I have no idea where to start HELP!

    Hey Marina!

You have come to the right place for help with your Walt Disney World trip planning questions! All of the 'Moms' and I are here help any way we can.

Now that you know when you are planning to visit, the next step is to look for a resort that is right for you and your son. Walt Disney World offers a wide array of resort choices to fit every budget and taste. Make sure to order the Disney Planning DVD so you can get a feel for what each resort has to offer.

After you have chosen your resort it's time to start putting together an outline of your daily plans. This will lead to the rest of your planning activities. I like to check out the EasyWDW.com crowd calendars to make my daily plans. They use historical crowd data and special events to make their predictions.

Once your daily plans are set you will know the type of theme park tickets you will need. You can get tickets for any number of days and even tickets to visit more than one park each day called Park Hoppers.

You are almost there! Now that you have a resort, a daily plan and theme park tickets you can make your Advanced Dining Reservation 180 days in advance and your FastPass+ selections 60 days before check-in for the length of your stay.

Your last step is to add some magic! Come on back and see me and I can give you some great idea to make this the most *MAGICAL* vacation ever.
