Greetings, Amy,
We have loved taking our
young children with us on
visits to the Disneyland Resort. Depending on your younger child’s height, there are
dozens of magical attractions that you and your children may experience together. Even focusing only on attractions of particular
interest to preschoolers, there are still many amazing attractions to enjoy. Since guests
under age seven must be accompanied by someone 14 or over, you will need to remain with both of your children on all attractions. Looking over those attractions, there are many that the three of you will be able to experience together.
For a handful of attractions, you may be seated in two rows of the ride vehicle, but still within arms reach. Examples of this arrangement include Alice in Wonderland, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh,
Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, and Pinocchio's Daring Journey.
Another set of attractions seats a party on a single row. Some in this category may be somewhat of a tight fit, such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant,
Golden Zephyr, Peter Pan's Flight, and
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin. But usually, one adult and two small children can still fit in these attractions. There are two attractions that seat guests in one row but have only two sets of controls over interactive elements. These are
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and
Toy Story Midway Mania! A party of three may still sit together on these attractions, but only up to two guests may independently operate the controls.
On the carousel attractions, Jessie's Critter Carousel and King Arthur Carrousel, it may work best to have you stand between two critters or horses that your children ride. Finally, from the preschooler-friendly attractions linked above,
Jumpin' Jellyfish is perhaps the only attraction that would not be able to accommodate one adult and two children under age seven.
There are still more attractions that your children may or may not be interested in that could accommodate your party. These include Haunted Mansion,
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters,
Mickey's PhilharMagic, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Tarzan's Treehouse, Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, and many more.
I hope you enjoy your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, Amy. Please stop by again if you have any more questions.
