    Martha from MI Asked

I am a single mother of a 7 and 1 year old. I am going in May, staying at French Quater. My question is what can I do for the 7 year old to make it special since we can not go on many of the rides. Or stay up late for the night time fire works. Thanks.

Hi, Martha!  I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to see just how much you will all be able to do together!  A lot of the things my seven year old enjoys, my three year old loves doing also.  And because so many of the rides and attractions have no height restrictions, the whole family gets to enjoy the experiences together!

If you want to do something special that really sprinkles pixie dust on the trip for your seven year old, how about a visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where your seven year old can get a princess makeover or a cool dude hair-do?  Make sure you stop at the Kidcot stations at EPCOT and let the seven year old do the activities.  Buy or make your older child an autograph book, and let them have their pictures taken with the characters by themselves.  My seven year old gets a little jealous not to have too many photographs of just her with her favorite characters!

There are other activities, like the pirate adventure at the Grand Floridian or a game of miniature golf.  Disney World offers so many things that will make sure your seven year old will have a magical time!
