I am a single mother of a 6 year old boy and I'm planning our twenty days trip to december 2011, because it is when we will celebrate our birthdays. I was wondering if you have some tips that could be helpful so we can have many magical times together?

    Hi Bianca,

As you can guess, I can't think of a better place to celebrate your dual birthdays!  I think it's great that you've started planning so early.  The excitement and anticipation of an upcoming trip is almost as much fun as the actual vacation.  (I did say, "almost"!)  To celebrate your special days, I would pick up some free Happy Birthday pins from Guest Relations at whichever park you visit first.  Wear them proudly during your trip.  You might also want to schedule a celebratory dinner (a character meal is a great idea), and request a birthday cake be delivered to your table.  You can make dining reservations up to 180 days before your arrival.  The cast member at the dining line 407-WDW-DINE can help you arrange to have a cake delivered.  I'm a big fan of Chef Mickey's for a birthday dinner.  In my opinion, it's the quintessential character dining spot, and one of the happiest places at Disney to have  a meal.  You might also want to include a dinner show or other special event.  Mickey's Backyard BBQ is a festive, fun and character-filled dinner show that is a perfect spot to celebrate a birthday.

I hope you both have an incredible mom & son adventure!  Happy birthday!
