I am a single mother on a budget and for my daughter's 3rd birthday I want to plan a trip to Disney, however our travel plans only include her and I. Does anyone have any recommendations of the safest way for us to enjoy Disney without spending a fortune?

Hi there Erica! It's most certainly possible to have a magical Walt Disney World vacation on a budget!

Children under 3 years of age get free entry into Disney Theme Parks and Disney Water Parks so, you might want to consider timing your vacation so that your child turns 3 perhaps near the end of your trip.

Also, there is no charge for children under 3 who share from an adult's plate at a Walt Disney World table-service restaurant. Due to the popularity of the restaurants and especially character meals, be sure to make advanced dining reservations online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 prior to leaving home.

If you are flying into Orlando International Airport, you can avoid the cost of a rental car by utilizing Disney's Magical Express Transportation. You must stay onsite at a Disney Resort in order to qualify for this service. A Disney Value Resort would be the most economical choice for accommodations, as these resorts are big on fun but not cost.

A great unofficial resource for offsite hotel options as well as other vacation budget considerations is: www.mousesavers.com. Be sure to sign-up for the newsletter for special "insider" deals.

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your trip!
