I am a single mom wanting to bring my 4 year old. Is this doable with a 4 year old or would it be best to travel with a group? I don't want the entire trip to be stressful.

Courtney thanks for bringing such a thoughtful question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am the proud product of a single mum, and I salute you in planning a Disney trip as well as in every aspect of your life - YOU are incredible!

My family jokes that a trip to Walt Disney World Resort is only stressful if we make it stressful, so let me give you some of my favorite tips to make this a magical vacation.

If it’s in the budget, stay on Property. Being a Resort Hotel Guest has so many benefits, including complimentary Magic Bands, Extra Magic Hours, and early access to FastPass+. I think Disney’s Art of Animation Resort would be perfect! Each section of the hotel is themed, so y’all can choose from Cars to Finding Nemo to Little Mermaid!

When you use FastPass+ to plan your trip, concentrate on Magic Kingdom Park. Fantasyland is MADE for the littles! Dumbo the Flying Elephant has an excellent play park under the circus tent that is so much fun your it-bit won’t want to leave to get on the ride! Every time we visit the Park, my four-year-old twins insist on blasting to infinity and beyond at Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Join forces, take aim, and defeat Zurg in this thrilling attraction that I know you two will love too!

When you two need a break, watch a show (The Tiki Room is our favorite!) or stop by the Baby Care Centers (don’t be dissuaded by the word “baby”). They are a great place to cool down, eat a snack and relax.

Courtney, I have always loved Disney, but nothing is more delightful than seeing it through my preschoolers’ eyes. I know you are going to create Magical memories with your little sidekick!
