As a Single Mom traveling with a 10 and 8 year old, how do I deal with going on rides when one is fearful and the other is not? Do I let the 10 year old go alone, and hang out with my more timid 8 year old? Is there a waiting area? Thanks.

Hi!!  This dilemma is one that is faced regularly.  I have been in the same space with one of my children.  I would stand in the queue lines with my two daughters and when it was time to load, one would get on, and I would walk to other side and exit with my second daughter.  There is a waiting area on attractions that have a child swap option.  It's just as easy to stand at the exit and wait.  I was very surprised at times when my timid one decided at last minute to go forward and ride on the attraction.  Have a fabulous trip!!
