Mom With Kids After Run

Single mom planning to take my 3 kids ages 17 boy 14 girl & 11 boy to WDW in the fall. I'm looking for suggestions on how to do this on the cheap side without sacrificing comfort. Also what would be the shortest length to stay and not feel rushed.

    Hi Aline,

With 3 different levels of resorts, Walt Disney World has tried to provide a resort option that will fit many budgets, but still keep you in all the magic & perks of staying at Disney.  The value resorts are the most reasonably priced, and at the All Star Music Resort, there are family suites:  a bedroom with a queen bed, a living area with a sleeper sofa and sleeper chair, a kitchenette, and TWO bathrooms (a necessity I find traveling with my children who are the same ages as yours!).

The moderate resorts are the next step up, so there are more amenities and bigger rooms. The rates of these rooms will fall somewhere between a room at a value resort and a family suite.

By visiting in the fall, you may be going on dates with lower room rates and possibly discounts.  Here is a current offering that includes free dining.

To make the most of a trip, I recommend a minimum of 5 nights, so you could spend at least one day at each park; the other two days would be your arrival and departure days. For example, arrive on Monday, spend Tuesday at the Magic Kingdom, Wednesday at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Thursday at Animal Kingdom, & Friday at Epcot, depart on Saturday.

If we can help you further, please don't hesitate to ask!  Wishing you a magical trip.
