Single mom, just learned a future conference will be at WDW. Would love to bring my son, but can't have him with me during sessions. Child care seems to be only at night. Is there some option if I can't have family come with us?

Hi, Kimberley! I always loved it when my husband's work conferences would bring us to Walt Disney World - so much fun!

There is a very popular service in the Walt Disney World area called Kids Nite Out. Don't be dismayed by the name - they offer baby sitting services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You just have to tell them what hours you need someone.

They don't do any water activities, so no bathing or swimming, but they really can adapt a plan that will work for you and your son. I've known them to take the kids for a walk around the resort, grab a bite to eat, even participate in some of their own activities. I know quite a few people that have used the service and really love it.

Kids Nite Out, in case you know of other parents who might be in the same situation as yourself, can also put together a convention package, where the kids will all be together and special themed activities will be planned. I don't know the minimum number of participants, but it might be something to talk up among the other parents attending the conference.

And just so you don't feel like you're going to miss out on the fun with your little guy, you can make FastPass+ selections that work around your conference schedule. That will help you experience the must do things with your son no matter what time of day you can make it to the theme parks.

    Have the best time!
