Hi I am a single mom of my daughter who will be 5 in April 2013, which is when I am planning to come. I am overwhelmed beyond belief that everything that there is to offer. I want her to be able to experience everything but would like some advice about all

    Hi Jenny,

I can certainly understand why you are feeling overwhelmed.  There are a fair number of decisions you'll need to make regarding your upcoming vacation but that's why the Moms Panel exists.  We're here to help you every step of the way.  Let's get started!

The first thing you need to do is determine your budget and your exact dates of travel.  Once you've done that you can choose a Disney resort.  We'd be happy to make a recommendation.  Just let us know whether you think a value, moderate, or deluxe resort best fits your budget.  Then think about whether you want to be able to hop between parks in any given day or whether one park per day tickets will be adequate.  The Magic Your Way tickets (one park per day) are usually perfect for first time visitors.  Finally, consider which Disney Dining Plan best fits your needs. With a five-year-old, I encourage you to pick the basic dining plan that includes one table service, one quick service, and one snack credit per person each day.  Then call (407) WDW-DINE 180 days before your arrival to make your table service reservations.  Again, we can suggest restaurants that you and your daughter will love.

So that's how you get started!  Feel free to post additional questions as you work your way through these decisions.

Best wishes for a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
