I am a single mom bringing my daughter and two other friends to Disney World for the first time as her celebration for turning sixteen. can you suggest which hotel caters to teens and which parks may be better. We are coming in TWO WEEKS!!.

Hi Casetta - thanks for your question!  I honestly don't think you can pick a wrong resort in this situation.  My teens have never been to a resort where they haven't enjoyed themselves.  I would recommend you book your accommodations based on your budget.  If it's a value resort, I would lean towards Pop Century.  Sometimes water slides in the pool is important to teens.  The value resorts do not have slides but if you upgrade to a moderate (my favorite is Port Orleans Riverside), there will be a water slide to enjoy.  And finally, if your budget allows a deluxe, I would check out the Beach Club in the Epcot area and the Polynesian in the Magic Kingdom area.

As far as parks, you may want to sit with your daughter and friends to see what is most important to them.  At Epcot they will probably enjoy rides such as Test Track and Soarin' (get a fast pass for one as you wait in line for the other) and the mountains (Space, Big Thunder and Splash) at Magic Kingdom are awesome!  Of course you can't forget Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom and Tower of Terror/Rock 'N Roller Coaster!  As you can see, there will not be a wrong choice as far as what parks they choose - and if time allows, hit the highlights of all with the park hopper option!

I hope this helps you get started.  Please write back with additional questions.  Happy Birthday to your daughter!  Diane
