Do single day passes get blocked out? The tickets in my app show blockout dates for the single day pass my mom purchased, but not for the two-days passes I purchased for my family. She is only coming for the one day, is there a chance she won't get in?

Hello, Sara! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am so excited that you and your mom will soon be experiencing all the joy and wonder of the Disneyland Resort during the Holidays!

Single-day tickets work a little differently than multi-day tickets. There are three tiers for one-day tickets – Value, Regular, and Peak – that correspond to specific dates of the year. For instance, most of the dates around the end of December are considered Peak days. So, if the one-day ticket was purchased for a Value day, then it cannot be used for a Regular or Peak day unless you upgrade the ticket and pay the difference. That is probably why blackout days are listed for the one-day ticket. Multi-day tickets do not have this distinction and can be used on any day throughout the year, so that’s why you don’t see blackout dates associated with your two-day tickets. If your mom has a Value day ticket and is visiting on a Regular or a Peak day,  simply have her stop by a Disneyland Resort ticket booth when she arrives and a Cast Member can upgrade her ticket.

To see the calendar that displays which category each day falls into, head to the Tickets page, then select one-day tickets, and the calendar will be shown. Or you can check out the list of excluded dates per ticket type by reading this Frequently Asked Question.

I hope this helps clarify things for you! Have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
