How similar are Akerhaus and CRT? We are thinking about doing both. If we do Akerhaus first, will it ruin CRT? Our daughter is 4 years old

I have three daughters. Those 3 to 6 year old years were veeeery princess intensive in my house. There were several vacations where we dined at both Cinderella's Royal Table and the Princess Storybook meal at Epcot. Sometimes more than once each. If your daughter is as princess-crazy as mine were, then there is no amount of princess interaction that is too much. If that's what your princess wants, then I say by all means try both meals.

As far as which to do first goes ... I have to tell you that I've been struggling with this part of your question for about 20 minutes, trying to figure out why I'm as biased as I am in favor of the Royal Table. The two meals really aren't all that different. Some of the same princesses come to both meals. The level of character interaction at both places is great. Even the food is great at both places. If anything, I slightly prefer the food at the Akershus. So why do I love the Royal Table so much more?

I think it must come from all those years of watching The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights as a kid. (How much am I dating myself now?) I would sit there in my flannel PJs, with my nose glued to the big 21 inch Heathkit color TV that my dad built himself, seeing that iconic castle on the screen and thinking, "That's it. THAT is the place I want to be."

When I am eating in the castle, right there in the middle of the real life even-better-than-on-TV Magic Kingdom, I am living out the dream. At the Royal Table, I'm not a forty-something mom with three kids and mortgage, I am a second-grader who blew out the candles on her birthday cake and wished for a trip to Disney World. And the wish came true. The feeling only lasts for a little while, until someone spills juice, or misplaces her autograph book, or thinks her eggs are too runny, but when it's there it's pure magic.

So, the answer to your question is no, your daughter probably won't care which princess meal you do first. But you might.
