Silly question: We will not have time in our plans to go to Beaches and Cream. My daughter is desperate for a milkshake with a cupcake or donut on top! Does the Plaza on Main Street ALWAYS have a funky featured shake, or just from time to time?

    Hi Denise!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for bringing this great Walt Disney World Resort foodie question to us hEAR! What a great mom you are trying to track down this specific treat for your Mouseketeer! One thing that I like to say is that Disney is practically now an Eat Park, too, so you do have quite a few options.

The over-the-top milkshakes at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop are not only beautiful, they are topped with all kinds of fun stuff. Were you planning on Park Hopping at all, or using the brand new Disney Skyliner between EPCOT and possibly your Disney Resort Hotel? The reason why I ask is because Beaches & Cream has a walk-up to-go window that does serve these same super special souvenir shakes. I'm attaching a link of a store at the EPCOT International Gateway Entrance where the Disney Skyliner drops guests off, and Disney's Beach Club Resort is a short, 10-minute walk to the left of this location.

If you aren't planning on being in the EPCOT area, I do have some other sweet suggestions. A lot of menus rotate in their offerings, and it appears that right now The Plaza Restaurant does not have anything too intense on its menu. However, they do have really good milkshakes, including an all-you-care-to-enjoy refillable option, so try all the flavors! And speaking of seasonal menus, a few good locations to check for pop-up crazy or even character-inspired creations are Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies, Aloha Isle, Storybook Treats and Sunshine Tree Terrace, all in Magic Kingdom Park. These locations have had a lot of good looking goodies lately, and one of the best places to keep up with all things Disney Foodie News is the Disney Parks Blog as they'll update on new offerings and even publish can't-miss lists.

Other decadent dessert drinks of note: the Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake from 50's Prime Time Cafe in Disney's Hollywood Studios can also be ordered to-go from the attached Tune-In Lounge. D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs currently has seven shakes on their menu. Also in Disney Springs, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop has a shake where a candy bar is blended into the drink. And don't forget to check out the menus of your Disney Resort Hotel as well as any neighboring resort hotels as specialty shakes have been known to show up from time to time. These surprise sippables usually aren't listed on the main menus overhead or online, but rather have temporary signage either near the entrance of the dining location or near the cash registers. Disney Magic is real even if it comes in the form of an unplanned milkshake!

I hope this helped plan your upcoming Disney Days, Denise, and We'll See You Real Soon!
