If you are signed up for the half marathon race, do you need to purchase a ticket to go into the park after the race ends? And can you re-enter that park after you go back to your hotel to shower?

    Hi Bree!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. One of the best parts about a runDisney event is that you get to run through the parks during your race! What better motivation is there than running through a castle or 'around the world'?

Theme park tickets must be purchased separately from race registration because your race entry does not get you into the park after you've completed your event.  Once you have purchased your ticket, you can exit and re-enter the park as you wish for that day. If you purchase the single park ticket, you must re-enter the same park you initially entered. If you add on the park hopper option, you can bounce around between all the parks as you wish! I know a lot of runners will initially go back into the parks to get a photo in their race costume with their medal for a signature park photo, like in front of Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom or Spaceship Earth in Epcot, then return to their room to shower and relax before coming back for evening festivities.

I hope you have a magical race and please let me know if you have any other questions before your trip!
