My mom’s signature annual pass expired yesterday and I know once your pass expires you can not downgrade/renew to the SoCal pass. But they let her renew to a SoCal pass today. How many days after your pass expires would you still be able to buy the SoCal

    Hello there, Gabriel!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for stopping by with your question about Disneyland Resort Annual Passports. I’m a longtime Passholder myself and have loved the ability to visit the Happiest Place on Earth as many times a year as possible!

Guests are able to change an active Annual Passport to a different type when it’s time to renew it or after it expires. If your mother’s Disney Signature Passport expired, she would be able to purchase any other Annual Passport currently being sold, as long as she’s eligible for that new pass type (such as providing a valid form of ID to buy a pass for Southern California residents). The Disney Southern California Select Passport is currently available, so Guests who qualify are able to purchase it. However, sale of new Southern California Annual Passports has been suspended indefinitely. Only Annual Passholders who currently have that pass type may renew it, and it must be renewed before the expiration date passes.

If you need further clarification about your specific situation, I suggest calling Annual Passport Member Services at (714) 781-4567. They may be able to provide more specific information tailored to your needs. I hope this helps, Gabriel. If there are any other Disneyland Resort questions you may have, please visit us again!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
