Do side dishes come with a table service meal on the disney dining plan?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jane! Are you so excited that your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is coming up in just a few days? I usually spend the days leading up to my vacation dreaming about the delicious meals and snacks that I want to eat and it sounds like you're doing the same thing so let's chat about what's included when you order using the Disney Dining Plan.

When you order an entree from a Table-Service restaurant, there is almost always a side dish included. In fact, I can't think of a time when I've ever ordered a meal and it did not come with a side. You can't have a burger without fries, right? They are always listed on the menu alongside the entree, and sometimes you can choose from a selection of different sides so just ask the Cast Member serving you if it's possible to swap out your side dish for something else that you'd rather have. There are some restaurants, like Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort or Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada Pavilion at Epcot, that serve more of a traditional steakhouse menu and offers à la carte sides in addition to what comes with your steak. You are welcome to order those additional sides if you want to but they are not included in the Disney Dining Plan. When the bill comes, you can just use your MagicBand to charge the difference to your room at the same time you pay with your Table-Service credits.

I hope this answers your question, Jane, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
