    Michelle from VA Asked

Which side of the Contemporary is Chef Mickey's Theme or Bay? Will Chef Mickey's disturb a 3 year olds nap?  Any suggestion on room selections within the Contemporary is greatly appreciated. Thank You

    Michelle,

Chef Mickey's is dead center in the middle of the A-frame of the Contemporary (in terms of being between the two room sides of the hotel, though it is at the end of the length of the building directly under where the monorail enters the resort). So the noise goes up the resort center, affecting both the Theme Park view side and the Bay Lake view side of the resort.

As it happens, I would not worry about the noise either way. The rooms are pretty well soundproofed on the inside, and I don't expect you will find the noise impacting their naps. That being said, a Theme Park view is more magical, but both are good, so decide based on availability and budget, not on noise.

The only exception is that fireworks from the Magic Kingdom at night might bring up the noise level in the room a little bit if you are facing the theme park side. I don't think it is much, but if a quiet room is the most important thing to you (as it is to me with a 2 and 4 year old), go for the Bay Lake view.

Please feel free to send me any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
