If I have a short reservation, followed by a longer reservation with additional people, can I have all of the tickets put onto the second reservation and use one day early? It does not seem cost-effective to buy a one-day ticket for the first reservation

    Hi Andrea,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Now, let's get right to it!
There are two different types of reservations that you can make for Disney Resort hotels. You can make a room-only reservation, and you would need to purchase Theme Park Tickets separately, although ahead of time would allow you to select FastPass+ reservations early on. The other option is to book a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, which not only includes a stay at select Disney Resort hotels, but also Theme Park Tickets. The tickets will be activated on your MagicBand when you check in to your Resort hotel.

That said, you can actually pick up Theme Park tickets from a Magic Your Way Vacation Package up to three days in advance of your check-in date, by simply visiting Guest Relations. In your case, and assuming your second reservation is a vacation package, you may want to make sure that the first short reservation is just a room-only one. Note that you will not be able to make FastPass+ reservations for the days before the check-in of your second leg, however, once you pick up your tickets, you'll be able to make same-day FastPass+.

Hope this helps you. And see you real soon!
