We shall be travelling to Orlando from 12 to 18 March 2011 with our one year old girl. We would suggestions and recommendations on the following: -accommodation -type tickets to purchase and what to take note of. Thanks.

    Hi Diana,

With so many good deals out there, it is hard to say where to stay. But first, if you are going to concentrate mainly on Magic Kingdom, I would opt for a shorter stay and upgrade to a resort on the monorail. This will allow you to transport your princess to and from the Magic Kingdom without having to take her out of her royal carriage. While I think she would also enjoy the other three parks, I know many guests who want to concentrate on Magic Kingdom at this age.

Once you decide on your itinerary, this will help you pick a resort. If you really want to be away a longer period of time and budget does not allow you to stay on the monorail, try a moderate like Port Orleans Riverside for shorter travel times to the parks and big southern charm. The Swan and Dolphin also offer you great locations and have many of the same perks as other Walt Disney World Resorts and you may be able to use reward points from their parent company. On the downside of staying at the Swan and Dolphin is you will not receive free Magical Express.

As for ticket types, I would stick to the base Magic Your Way ticket. Since you have a little one, you will be touring the parks at a slower pace. Why leave one park to hop to another when you are enjoying the current park? Let her linger at the attractions or during a character meet and greet. Or better yet, let her stroll down Main Street and enjoy the castle.

I would also search the panel for age specific information on your princess or email us with a specific question to help us tailor your needs.

    Have a magical trip!
