It's been several years since our last visit to WDW and we loved the FastPasses. I heard that the process for using them has changed. Can you give me some pointers? We are staying off site, if that makes a difference.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jen!

You are correct that the FastPass system has changed. Now known as FastPass+, the service makes it possible to reserve some of your favorite attractions before you even leave home! The first step is to secure your park tickets and sign-in or register for an account through My Disney Experience. Once your tickets are linked to your account and you are 30 days from your arrival date you are ready to start selecting your FastPass+ experiences. You can reserve up to three FastPass+ experiences per day for each person linked to your My Disney Experience account. However, each experience must be in the same park. Once you have used your FastPass+ selections or the return window times have passed you can book another FastPass+ at one of the convenient kiosks located throughout the Parks. It is important to note that attractions at both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios are on a "tiered" system. Fellow panelist Marc does a great job of explaining how this works. His answer can be found here.

I highly recommend that your download the My Disney Experience mobile app as well. It allows you to keep all of your plans in the palm of your hand. With the app you can also select and modify FastPass+ selections.

More information about using the FastPass+ system can be found here. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask!

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
