We have been several times but been a couple years since last visit and before we needed handicap parking for my son, can you give me advise in parking, fees, etc with the handicap tags, we are staying onsite

    Hi there, Jennifer!

First, to allay any fears, I want to say that it has been my experience in years of traveling with disabled guests that Walt Disney World has been the most accommodating. It can be daunting to travel with someone with a disability. You want to make sure they have the very best experience possible. Time after time, Walt Disney World has given that to the disabled members of my family.

As a Walt Disney World resort guest, parking at each of the theme parks is complimentary. They'll just scan your MagicBands as you go through the vehicle entrance, and you'll follow the blue line to disability parking. A valid disability parking permit or license plate must be displayed at all times.

Any resort reservation made after March 21, 2018 is subject to an overnight parking fee. The fee varies based on your resort, and ranges from $13 for value resorts to $24 for deluxe resorts. You will again find parking at each resort for guests with disabilities, or if it's easier, the deluxe resorts and deluxe villa resorts also offer valet parking at the rate of $33 per night.

You may also want to know that Disney resort transportation is available, and the transportation can accommodate guests in wheelchairs. I don't know if your son uses a scooter or wheelchair, but it's nice to know if he does, you can still leave the driving to Disney.

Wishing you a memorable, magical time!
