I served in the Air Force but did not retire. Would i be eligible for the military discounts even though I'm not active duty, reserve, or retired?

    Tonya:

Thanks for coming to the Moms Panel for your question but most especially, thank you for your service to our country. My husband is in the Air Guard, and we enjoy the benefits Disney so generously gives service members.

Unfortunately, in order to purchase the Disney Military Promotional Ticket or take advantage of the discount for military members on stays at Disney resorts, you'll have to show a valid military i.d. Moreover, according to Disney's policy here, only active or retired military forces and their spouses can use the identification to purchase and activate the tickets or check-in at the resort.

With a little perseverance, though, you can find discounts at Disney. Watch the website under Special Offers to get resort offers and even free dining offers throughout the year.

Here's to a magical vacation when you come to visit!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
