Hi! For our September trip, Magic Kingdom opens at 8am (With EMH 7-8am). Will fast passes be offered beginning at 8AM or the regular 9AM time? Thank you!!

Hello there, Brooke! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for reaching out and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Extra Magic Hours are among my top tips for maximizing time spent inside the parks! Extra Magic Hours are offered in at least one of the four theme parks each day either before or after normal operating hours. I particularly love the early Extra Magic Hours since this tends to be the coolest part of the day! This perk is offered as a complementary option for all Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel. During these additional hours, Guests have the opportunity to enjoy select attractions and get in a few extra thrills outside of normal park operating hours!

FastPass+ reservations are another great way to make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! These passes allow you to skip the standby line on select attractions and significantly reduce your wait time while visiting the parks. FastPass+ reservations are only available during normal operating hours. This means if Magic Kingdom “officially” opens at 8:00 am to all Guests, you should be able to make FastPass+ reservations at or after 8:00 am on that given day.

I often combine early Extra Magic Hours with early FastPass+ reservations for a morning of adventurous attractions! I hope this strategy helps you and your family have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World Resort!
