Senior citizens planning first and probably only trip to Disneyland. Recommendations for number of days to be able to see and enjoy all Disneyland has to offer. Best accomadations, best airport to fly into, pricing for Disney transportation from airport.

    Hi there, Linda!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I would love to help you plan your one-in-a-lifetime vacation to the Disneyland Resort. This is Walt Disney's original Magic Kingdom, and I just know you will love the historical importance and nostalgia this amazing destination offers.

For a relaxed vacation where you can soak up the amazing details, entertainment, attractions, I recommend a trip of at least four to five days in duration. This will give you plenty of time to experience many aspects of the resort while also allowing you time to utilize the amenities of your Disneyland Resort Hotel and explore the Downtown Disney District. I personally always prefer to stay at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels as they offer the most benefits like the popular Extra Magic Hour early admission and themed shopping and dining. When I stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel I really feel like I'm a part of the magic even when I'm away from the parks. There are also some fun complimentary activities offered to hotel Guests like the Get Up & Go Power Walk and the Art of Craft Tour.

Airport preference is very different for everyone based on your travel dates and location, but most Guests arrive to either LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) or SNA (John Wayne Airport). I have rented a car from both of these locations which I found convenient when I wanted to explore other Southern California destinations during my trip. You can also use third party ride-share services like Uber or Lyft, or you can utilize the private Disneyland Resort Express shuttle for a fee. Unlike the Walt Disney World Resort, there is not a comparable service to Disney's Magical Express if you have used this in the past, so you have more freedom when it comes to travel options.

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any more questions!
