We want to send our 18 year old daughter to WDW and have her stay using our DVC points. Can she stay by herself if she and a friend are both 18?

Hi Jeffrey, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

There is no question that being able to provide the gift of travel to friends and family members is a great perk of Disney Vacation Club membership! I’ll bet your daughter and her friend will have a fantastic time together at the Walt Disney World Resort as there is nothing better than sharing a trip to “The Most Magical Place on Earth” with friends. I am sure it will be great knowing that you played a role in helping to make the trip a reality.

I am happy to report that as long as the lead Guest on your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation is at least 18 years of age at the time of travel, your daughter and her friend will be all set and ready to enjoy their vacation.

Please be sure to remind them to create their own individual My Disney Experience accounts and to then link their Disney Resort reservation and Theme Park Tickets or Annual Passes to their accounts so they will be ready to start making their FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of their Resort Check-In date.

Should your daughter and her friend have any further questions in preparation for their trip, please be sure to tell them to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We would be happy to hEAR from them!

    Magically Yours,

    Trish
