How can I send something (plate, picture frame, pillowcase) from home to Guest Services to surprise someone that will be sailing? I don't want them to know about the surprise until it arrives to their cabin signed the last evening of their sailing.

    Ahoy, Todd!

What a fun surprise you are trying to pull off for some lucky cruisers. After calling the Disney Cruise Line Reservation Line, I have a couple of suggestions for you.

First of all, you can always order a premade Disney Cruise Line gift from the Gifts and Amenities section of the DCL website. There are lots of great gifts to choose from. Anything that you order would be delivered and waiting in their stateroom on the day of embarkation. One of my favorites is the "Bon Voyage Celebration Package", which includes a banner, bed runner, a card, and a large magnet. It is really fun to walk into the room with the banner already up and it would be a big surprise for your travelers.

It doesn't seem that you can send something directly to the guest service desk. But, I do know that you can send a box directly to your friends' room. The box that you send needs to weigh less than 20 pounds and the box can't exceed dimensions of 12"x12"x12". You would send this to:

    Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
    (name of traveler)/(stateroom #)
    8633 Transport Drive
    Orlando, FL
In the lower left corner, please include the following:
    Attn: Housekeeping
    (Traveler's name)
    (Sail Date)
    (Ship Name)
    (Stateroom #)

I have done this twice, and the box was waiting in my stateroom for me. You will want to allow a box to arrive at least a week prior to sailing, just to be safe. Maybe you could wrap something up and put a note for them to bring it to Guest Services, and tell them NO PEEKING! Then, you could have a separate note for Guest Services, explaining what to do with the items in the package. I'm sure anything that you do will be a welcome and appreciated surprise.

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your cruise question! I hope to see you here again real soon!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
