Hi Kristen,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Clearly, you are becoming quite the planning genius!
Disney's
Fast Pass+ system is one of my favorite benefits to vacationing at the Walt Disney World resort. As you have discovered, Epcot operates on a tiered Fast Pass+ system. Guests can only choose one attraction from tier one when making the initial three Fast Pass+ selections at a given park. So, you will have to choose between Frozen Ever After, Soarin', Test Track and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth for one of your Fast Pass+ selections. Then you will choose the other two Fast Pass+ selections from tier two.
After you have used those first three Fast Pass+ selections, then you can try to select another attraction for your fourth Fast Pass+. But, keep in mind that tier one attractions are incredibly popular and may not be available as Fast Pass+ selections on the day of your visit. My suggestion is to make your initial three Fast Pass+ selections as soon as your booking window opens - 60 days in advance if staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel with valid theme park tickets.
When my family faces the
Fast Pass+ tier dilemma, we typically book a pre-park opening dining reservation so that we can get in the park before it opens, eat and then get in the stand-by line for a ride before the park gets too crowded. So, we use a Fast Pass+ for one of the top tier attractions and then do stand-by for another. Remember that at Animal Kingdom, Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey are in the same tier.
Kristen, sending pixie dust your way hoping you resolve your Fast Pass+ dilemma!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
