I've seen people mentioning a child in the Small World Nursery must wearing a bracelet at all times and a password is used for parents. I haven't been able to google indepth information about what to expect. Can you explain what this means?

Welcome aboard, Christine! You're doing your homework before you set sail! I like that! Planning can be half the fun leading up to your sailing with Disney, and when you've planned and read all about what to expect, you'll get so much more out of your cruise. But, I promise there will be lots of magical surprises in store for your family too!

Disney Cruise Line uses Youth Activities Wristbands for children in the It's A Small World Nursery, along with older children in the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. These look similar to the MagicBands you'd use at the Walt Disney World Resort. When children check in and out of the clubs or nursery, they tap the bracelet to the reader which lets the Cast Members see their information on the screen. This ensures the Cast Members know who is in the clubs at all times, and have access to their parents' information as well.

When you show up to It's A Small World Nursery at your pre-reserved nursery time, (which you can begin booking when your online check-in opens 75 days prior to sailing), the Cast Member will scan your child's band, chat with you about any details you need them to know, and they'll then be able to head into the club and begin enjoying the fun that takes place there. When you register your child for the nursery or the clubs, you'll set up a parental password. This is for extra security as you pick your child up. When you're ready to take them out of the clubs, the Cast Members will scan your Key To The World Card, scan the child's band, and also ask for your security password. All three of these measures ensure your child is safely leaving with the right parent, and you're all set to go.

I hope those details help as you get ready to sail with Captain Mickey and his crew, Christine! We're happy to help if you have further questions before you head out to sea!
