I've seen a number of people recommending the brunch at Palo versus dinner, I'm curious as to why? And in this case, what are the best alternatives for the children's meals in that scenario.

    Hi, Michelle -

Dining at Palo is an absolute must for me and my husband every single time we sail with Disney Cruise Line. The service is impeccable (for dinner and brunch) and the food is amazingly good. I enjoy dining both for dinner and brunch and it will depend on your preference.

I've always enjoyed my sea days when I sleep-in and start my day with brunch at Palo. The spread is a gastronomic feast -- a beautiful buffet of salads, Italian baked specialties, seafood, tantalizing desserts and amazing pizzas and entrees. It's an all you care-to-eat gourmet feast. Food lovers would easily pick this buffet as a top notch dining choice whenever it is offered (usually on sea days).

Dinners are very romantic and much quieter. This tends to be favored for the romantic touch... plus, you can get the chocolate soufflè and the Italian specialty entrees on their dinner menu. The mushroom risotto is one of my favorites, and I usually will order this as a side dish (or half order). You can pick anything on the menu - but if you can't decide between a couple different ones, you are welcome to try both. But, Michelle -- no matter what entrees and appetizers you choose, you must leave room for dessert :-). Whether you choose Brunch or Dinner, I'm positive your tummy will be happy. The cost is the same at $30 per person.

Depending on the ages of your kids, they can actually have dinner with their friends at the Youth Clubs. For lunch or snacks, the youth counselors will also make sure they are fed. Just make sure to mention that your kids will need to be fed at meal times. I have teens and they love dining on their own at our restaurant rotation for the evening - sometimes they bring a friend with them to their 'fancy dinner on their own' while we have dinner at Palo.

    I hope this helps, Michelle!
